Mandarins and the QT

Hey guys and gals

I am thinking of purchasing a pair of madarins. One quick question...

I am one who uses a QT tank on all new tank additions.

How should I approach adding Mandarins to my display tank without a QT.  I am aware that Mandarins do not carry pathogens such as ich and velvet but placing them in a QT would be hard bec of malnourishment of the copepod population.

What's your thoughts????

I would QT. They are not as susceptible to pathogens such as ich or velvet (at least from my understanding). Also, this can give you the chance to begin weaning them onto frozen.

 Thanks for the reply Gemmy

I will just QT them.  Scares me to death not to do so.
