Is this a sponge growing within my zoas?

And if it is should I get rid of it somehow? It seems to be getting bigger, I'm afraid it will crowd them out or something.

Looks like Bryopsis Algae to me. It will eventually kill all the Zoanthids on that rock.

Yeah I'm having algae issues right now in the tank so that's definitely an issue I'm addressing. I think what's on this one in particular is something different though. It's hard to differentiate because there is hair algae in this same spot, but the big clump on the left side of the colony is something different. It's bright green, almost neon green, and doesn't feel like algae at all. It really looks like some kind of sponge in person, but I don't know much about them and I'm not sure if it's a good thing to have just in a bad spot, or if I should kill it off altogether.
