Torch Coral won't open up!

Thread Starter

Hello everyone, I bought my torch coral yesterday at my lfs and saw it well opened at the store. Got my water checked that morning and got a green light for it. The frag was placed in the substrate with a moderate flow on it. It looks healthy to me (just not "out") but I am not an experienced aquarist, therefore I am asking you guys. Attached is a picture of my shy coral. It has been 18 hours as of Sun Jan 15 10am.

Thank you for your help

Hi, Welcome to the site.  Sorry i didn't see this post earlier.

Not sure if you still have the same problem but it looks to me like the Torch isn't getting very much waterflow.

Very true, try moving it or change the current direction. They like to flowing, put them tentacles in the wind so to speak lol But dont put the power jet right on it let it look like a natural flow and not blasting it. :)
