Clownfish and Anemone Behavior

Yesterday I bought 2 onyx clownfish and woke up this morning and one was in the anemone...I've been watching them for the past 20 minutes and clownfish #1 is just camping in the anemone and clownfish #2is trying to get into the anemone but clownfish #1 is being really defensive and isn't really letting clownfish #2 in yet...is this normal behavior since I just bought them yesterday?

I'm happy at least one of them has taken to the anemone.

Ill be watching this thread. I'm curious too.

I'm happy that one has in JUST ONE DAY!! (probably because both are wild caught)

Both WILL go in but clownfish #2 get pushed out by clownfish #1 right as he enters the anemone

I'm thinking that they are just fighting for dominance and hopefully this will only last for a week or two

Very true it is probably a dominance thing, however, time often time changes a lot of things. Ive never gotten my maroon to share with the other but all things are possible bc ive seen it done before. Ive also seen 2 clowns in an anemone at the store and when bought and put in the tank only one would go in it and not the other. So you will just have to wait and see what happens, good luck :)
