Clownfish Current Issues

After fully cycling and CUCing, I got a 1 inch clown. He's beautiful, but I seem to be having a problem. My tank is FOWLR, so I have just over 20x flow with 2 separate powerheads combining to do the job to keep the flow going over my LR. My little 1inch clown does not seem to appreciate this. He simply hides below a piece of LR in the back of the tank, but he still cant avoid the current. I have had to feed him by turning off both powerheads, and dropping in his food, and then he swims to the surface to eat it, but with the powerheads on the food simply flies around the tank and he doesnt even notice it. What do you guys think about all of this?

It will learn quickly to look for food when you come to the tank.  Until then turning off the powerheads is fine.  A lot of people do that.

Is it ok being kept in such a strong current? (400gph in a 20gal tank)

That level of current is perfectly natural for a Clownfish.
