On Tuesday last week I was going to the LFS to pick up food, had to stop and see the fish. There it was a Pakistan Butterfly, you may remember I lost one last year. Well look good swimming good and picking at the rocks. So asked them to feed it, he wouldn't eat. So I walked away. On Tuesday of this week stop back in just to see by chance the butterfly was still there and it was. Still looking good asked to see him eat and sure enough he ate. Her he is.

they are beautiful fish! I would love to add one to my tank, but I am afraid I will not be able to have more than 2 butterflies in my tank. My local LFS had one in the store about 6 months ago....awesome color. Good luck to you.

So do I seams to be doing good its eating but only mysis right now, but that is better than nothing. going to try squid tonight. Tomorrow going to buy some fresh mussels or claims, something small.  Didn't like the butterfly formula last night.

Update Pakistan is doing great, no signs of ick. He did have some white film on part of one side of he's body. I normally treat with Prazipro, for internal worms, so I started it Sunday, this morning no signs of film. He is still interested in only mysis. I will pick up some Cyclop-eez see if like s that, also will try Rods tonight. Otherwise He is doing well.

Great news! Keep us posted. How long do you intend to keep it in QT assuming nothing shows up?

Will treat with prazi for 7 days, then 5 days off, then second treatment for 5 days. Then I will wait a couple of days or till the weekend to move to DT.

So to answer your question 3 weeks more, Total of 1 month in QT.

Great fish but in all honesty when I read the thread I said to myself” Picture of his new member” do I really want to see it

Wow! very pretty fish and I'm glad that my wife didn't see it. See loved our raccoon butterfly and I can imagine how much she would have loved this one since it has bit of pink/red in it.

Thanks Sip, Its tail is red and lower tail also tips of dorsal fin. The pictures don't do it justice, my camera is a work camera and its not good for moving objects no shutter speeds.

I'm glad you asked. it's 10gal, with my own simple design for filtration. Basically I used a plastic glove box filled with Bio-balls, pump water up to lid where i drilled holes in and let gravity return the water to QT. It's perfect for 1 fish at a time. My water quality test at 0, for the 3 basics and easy for dosing since it's 10 gal.

So larger fish would be all right in a 10 gallon QT? They couldn't contract anything b/c of the space limitations?

Isn't that little bit too confining for fish like butterfly? I'm just trying to get this down because if it's not, I would like to downgrade to 10g as well.
