Depends on how large, I QT'd a 4" powder blue tang in that 10gal. At first he didn't like it, but in time he adjusted. Of course each fish is different. Do you have a fish in mind and how large.

He's about 3" he paces on side wall, but most fish did that at first. I try to get small fish, because I like to see them grow and there cheaper. Like said to Lilclowns I QT'd a 4" PBT and they are big swimmers.

I hope you are not considering putting a tang in a 75gal. Just keep in mind tangs are big swimmers, think of the move Finding Nemo, Dori the hippo tang's line Keep on Swimming. Long term the will shut down and die in a 75 gal, and it doesn't take long I had a 1/2" hippo within a 1 1/2 years it was 3".

UPDATE!

Had a scare last night ammonia went over .75, prazi claims that it doesn't interrupts bacteria filtration, I don't believe them now. I added some amqui right away, test this morning ammonia was under .25. I will be doing a 20% water change tonight, glad I keep water ready while I have a new fish in QT. 

Ok the actual verbiage is "Offers rapid control without negatively impacting your biological filtration." Isn't impacting and taxing similar in its end results?

It used to kill internal worms and flukes.

Well fish has been in QT for 5 days (Tuesday night) ammonia has been holding at below .25 (checked daily), I added Prazi Sunday and on Monday night it was at .75. It's the only thing that has changed.

Well things have turned, the butterfly has been in QT fir 11 days today I seen a spot on it upper rear and a fuzzy spot on its snoot. Started lowering salinity this morning, he did eat well and is showing interest in Angel/Butterfly formula. I'm not worried as long as he continues to eat.

Those are bubbles from return water from filter, the spot is on his left snoot. The spot on its back side is to small to see from pictures.

No, just adds 4 weeks to QT.

Salinity is at 14ppt and he is still eating, its going well. PH is 8.2

Update!

I noticed on my refract meter that 14ppt does not match up with 1.009 salinity, 1.009 is lower. So I lowered it too 1.009, also due to the winter here in Chicago my house is dryer than normal (even tho I have hole house humidifier) over night it went up to 1.010. So now I bring it down to 1.008 so by the time I check it in the morning it back up to 1.009. The fish now eating Angel/Butterfly formula regularly, except the large pieces, its mouth is way to small. Two more ick spot have developed, so have not started the count down yet. I also noticed two raised patches on its side, no discoloring of scales so picture wont show anything. I'm going to keep an eye on it. If its still there after hypo is complete I will run another treatment of prazi. I can already tell this fish is going to great addition to my tank, because its not been easy getting it through QT.  

Update!

I had a little mishap this weekend. My light stater was broken, instead of replacing it I would just pull the plug to turn it off. Well Saturday night unplugged the light I must have also loosen the heater, by morning my tank was down to 66 deg. That was probably a good thing because also my pump decided to clog and flow was at a trickle. Well cleaned the pump, pushed the heater plug back in and changed out the starter, all is well again, it didn't seam to bother the butterfly he still wanted his breakfast ate like a little pig. On a another note ick is still hanging on there are 6 spots that have gone now over a week they must know there will die as soon as they let go. 

Well this fish is going to be a great fish when he ever gets rid of these spots. Because every thing I read says the trophont stage of ick last 3 to 7 days it has now been 10 days and the original spot is still on him, plus 5 more spot have developed since. Last night he ate squid for the first time gobbled it up, so now he is up to 3 different foods. On another good note those patches on its body have gone, other than those spots he is doing great.
