Recipes with Grape fruit

Sooo, it has been real dry round these parts.  And my grapefruit tree came in with half the fruit and they aren't really juicy enough to eat like an orange...

So who has grapefruit recipes?  They have lemon bars, why not grapefruit bars...  Grapefruit cake?

Not if you get them from the city like I do. I haven't tasted a good orange for almost 8 years. If you have your own tree or live in Florida, I'm sure they taste awesome. A tomato from a garden tastes like a whole different thing than what is sold in the market. Even the color is different.

1) squeeze the grapefruit over a glass of ice

2) add gin

3) enjoy

Yes, there is a really big differenece from fresh fruit and store bought fruit. Sometimes they don't  even taste like the samer fruit or vegetable!

Usually, I just peel em and eat em.  But this year we had 10 inches of rain all year.  And even with my RO system dumping waste water and my AC and its condensate.  It wasn't enough...  And they are really dry small and pack a pucker...
