Mojano help!

first time i ever heard of using peroxide on rock?dont even know what to think of that.

what size tank and how much rock?

i have always used peppermint shrimp to eat it up and it has always worked for me.there are alot of people here that like joes juice.

Peroxide has been used to create a cheap coral dip for quite some time. This is the first I have ever hear it used to kill Mojano, however, it could work.

I would place the rock in a bucket of saltwater with a small powerhead and heater for a few days to see if it spikes due to death inside it. Plus this will allow you to see if they are all dead. These type of pest often have a survival instinct mode where they start splitting very fast for better chances of survival.

I find it odd for a LFS to suggest that when they should have products that are made for that. They don't want to make money?

EDIT: Forgot to note that people primary use this to kill algae on their frags. It has been noted to kill ALL FORMS OF ALGAE with a 5 minute dip. I guess it could be like QT if you dip all your corals and such in this dip first, you keep certain kinds of algae out of your tank. That would mean starting with no live rock or sand though, and adding all the life yourself.

It would not have been my choice to kill a good piece of live rock but I wouldn't put it back in any of my tanks if the rocks sat in the peroxide for any length of time.  If the peroxide was just poured over the Anemone then it should be fine to just rinse and replace.

+1. There are more effective ways to combat this issue than, "nuking" rock that sells for $7-9+/pound. Only way I would consider this is if my tank was over run with algae. Then again at that point I would probably find other ways to combat it.

Also I highly doubt just pouring anything with the exception of maybe copper over a invert will kill anything. Usually there is an exposure time associated with killing anything. Even coral dips take time.
