whitish floating very soft balls full of smelly dark excrements??

IMG_3484.JPGThat's the best description I can give?

They start under rocks and finish floating near dead zones.

When picked up by hand, they break up. The content are small balls of dark stuff which smell like human excrements (pardon my comparison!)

I attach a pic (sorry for quality) of a forming ball under a rock. It will float lose soon!

Probably some type of loose sponge. I have had some in the past.

Thanks for answering.

Texture is very soft thin white envelope with dark balls fo "excrements" inside.

The first time I tried to remove it from a dead zone on the surface of my 90 gal it just broke off, spilling the crud.

The second time I was careful scooping it up intact.

What's next for the next time?
