What type of sand to use for a DSB?

I am in the process of preparing to transfer from a CC bottom to a DSB in my 65 gallon reef tank. My hopes are that I wont have to use all live sand, as I really don't want to spend that kind of money on sand. If I have to buy a bag or 2, then I can handle that, but my hopes are to get away with using mostly "play sand", or something of that sort, that doesn't cost so dang much per bag. In researching, I've came across that I want to find aragonite sand by a company called southdown. in further researching, I've found that this company no longer sells this type of play sand. Is there anything similar that I can use to avoid spending so much on live sand, or am I going to have to pony up the dough if I want to do this project?
