Galaxea sting

So can a coral sting a sponge? In particular a neon green galaxea frag i have. I think it stung a good portion of a tube sponge ive got growing in my tank!

Yes, Coral & Sponges will fight for space.  The Sponge doesn't always lose but it sounds like it will in your case.

wat does the sponge have for attack/def? I thought it was just a simple filter feeder creature that needed full siphon. Thats why ur not supposed to let air to it....

does it release something? Similar to a leather or something?

Sponges have a very strong chemical defense.  They are probably our best hope for a cancer cure.
