my gf's tank has ick and all her fish died and she bought a new tank and was wondering if she can put her live rock from her tank to the new one she bought?

Are you wanting to put the lr into an already established tank with fish in it? Because I would leave the rock in a tank fishless for 8 weeks.

Id leave either the old tank or new tank lifeless for 6-8weeks.... someone might change that time but thats how long it takes for the disease to go through its life cycle and die out.

When it comes time to switch tanks, u just add all the LR at once in the begining, most benefical bacteria is located in ur filter media!

+1 the ich is in the water so anything in the water should be treated as it has it... imo

Im not sure that ur inverts are subject to it but it can still carry it, if that makes any sense lol...
