Bj triggerfish pair not sure what Bj trigger are
CLOWNFISH pair ok
2 urchins will be eaten by triggers
2 starfish what kind
2-3 chromis could be a prob, not much luck with these.
Christmas wrasse very pretty good fish
Pipefish Care is difficult will need plenty of pods, clcop-eeze, small mysis
,not compatible with triggers
Mandarin dragonet will need a lot of pods, pipefish will compete for same food, not compatible with triggers
2 Bangaii cardinalfish not compatible with triggers

Idk. If you don't know much about the BJT, they are reef safe triggerfish fyi. I have heard otherwise about the trigger and setup...

Are you referring to a Blue Throat Trigger? They are still caution on these triggers not all are the same.

Yes, blue throat. I know they are all different- three are reef safe CLOWN triggerfish I'm sure. Bj triggers are in a genus of triggerfish that have upturned mouths, so they are for the most part- reef safe. This includes goldenback, niger, Crosshatch. Saying that, will my list work?

lol okay...the Blue Jaw trigger wont NORMALLY eat corals (though clown trigger do like to nibble)

X-ing out the pipefish, mandarin and cardinalfish then the others will work..

pipefish are a NO unless you are very experianced...

the mandarin is a NO until you have a VERY established tank with alot of copepods

and the cardinalfish are a NO with the trigger,,, it COULD work but why take the chance when you have so many other options

The bj pair will be last addition to reef tank. Since, can i get a mandarin pair? They are 2-3". Also, could i get a clown or sailfin tang in my tank?

Clown tangs do not have a good survival rating, they need a lot of flow. Salfin no problems, can be aggressive towards other tangs with similar body style.

So is this a good list?
Clown pair
Bj triggerfish pair(last addition)
Mandarin pair
2-3 blue chromis
Maybe flame hawkfish or flame angelfish
Salifin tang
2 urchins
2 starfish.

agreed.

And you're not going to find validation here. We are trying to help you put together your fish list - please listen to the advice being given.

Ok. What do you think though?

Either:

Clownfish Pair

Bj triggerfish pair(last addition)
Large tangs

Large wrasses

Snowflake Eel.

Or:

Clown pair
2-3 blue chromis - They will die anyways.
flame angelfish

Yellow tang

Pink spot goby

Neon goby

Bicolor pseudochromis
2 urchins

It's not both.

On a side note, I believe a four foot tank is WAY TOO SMALL for triggers and large tangs. I would suggest going with the latter then the former list.

umm you had my answer in the beginning and im not changing my mind...

I agree with you Snake that a 4ft tank is small,, but with that if the OP doesnt add all kinds of craziness (hhrrmmm) then they will be happy for a few years if bought as small juvies...

SO no mandarins, skip the chromis, the urchins and stars will likely die...

SO for my opinions on what you could do:

Clownfish pair,BJ trigger pair, 2 tangs (each different body types, like a sailfin and a kole), and the eel... that i feel would be MAXED and in about 2-3 years you would need to upgrade to a 180+

Yeah, I would say that in 3 years you'd have to upgrade to a 180 and possibly a 240 with those kinds of fish that you like... aggressive fish prefer larger amounts of water for swimming room. Also, aggressive fish grow larger then other fish and need more space to feel less crowded. If you crowd your fish, you may cause disease, unnecessary aggression and fish loss.
