Thanks Slice! It's snowing again today and I'm hoping they cancel classes later so that I can stay home and concentrate on these articles. I started looking at them last night and felt like I was in waaaaay over my head! shrug.gif  The irony here is that I chose a history degree because it was one of the degree programs that required the least amount of math and science. I eventually got my M.S. and Ed.D. in education. After running from math and science my whole life, it's coming back to haunt me since getting involved in the SW hobby. Yikes! brickwall.gif

Just because I keep reference material at hand doesn't mean I understand much of it. I try to pick out nuggets here and there that I can use. I will eventually circle back around and do in depth study on this stuff, but for now, I mostly just look at the pictures laughing.gif

To be honest, I nearly failed Chemistry in Highschool. It might have been my lack of interest or my drunk Danish professor, but it never stuck with me. Then, when I got to college, I found it vaguely interesting in my Biology classes. I guess maybe because I had a better teacher.

I'm pretty much a self taught alchemist. If I can get it, so can you. It just takes time. To tell yah the truth, I don't think that you really have to know a lot of the chemistry behind it unless you get into the more delicate SPS corals and large stony coral aquariums. Most imbalances and elements can be replenished by water changes.

I'm actually pretty good at math, if I apply myself. I took calculus in college and passed with a B. I found out later that I didn't even have to take the dad-blammed course. LOL!!!!

I know right!!! Why for Nursing when you don't use any algebra or calc? Seriously!

Math terrifies me. I think I actually have a math-phobia. flamed.gifSome science interests me, certainly not physics or chemistry though. Luckily I never had to have much beyond college algebra and statistics....which I barely passed!

It seems like you would need lots of math in nursing? What type of nursing?
