Sometimes you can find a good deal on a utility pump. Just match the needed GPH and you will be good to go. You do not need an adjustable pump on a reactor. They all have a knob to control the flow on the hose of the reactor itself.

I have an azoo mini-jet 404 adjustable pump on my two little fishies reactor. It cost me about $12. And I haven't had any problems with it. Cheap and effective.

The NextReef doesnt have a valve to adjust, maybe since it comes with and adjustable pump. I mean i'm sure that an oddysea pump goes for 10 bucks here and a small reactor for about 59.99.

I paid 80 bucks for mine, and i love it! Best of all this bad boy can go up to 250 gallons! But its over kill for my frag tank. Which i might end up getting a two small fishes for the 20 gallon frag and switch this one to my 112g upgrade next month

For some reason my post didnt show!

But if the "leak" is a myth, I might buy a small one for my frag tank, and use my MR1 for my 112g upgrade next month. But my reactor doesn't have a valve to adjust, its all in the pump.
