My saltwater fish keep going belly up. - Page 2

I can't think of any harmful shrimp, but the Chocolate Chip Star is a coral eater and Green Serpent Stars could catch and eat sleeping fish. Other than that I'm not sure what they could have meant by that.

Those big shells that you have in the tank, did you find them or did you buy them at a tourist trap type store?  I ask because they might have a protective lacquer on it.

I have successfully done my second water change and recieved my refractometer.  The salinity was 1.020 (I think that is what it should be).  And after the water changes and vaccuming the bottom the tank looks so much better!  It is bright and almost seems to glow.  Thanks for all your help.  I am interested to see what the test kit says about the quality of our water when it comes in.

Any suggestions for what we should do with our damsels?  I won't add new fish until they are gone but flushing them seems harsh.

Does anyone here order fish online?  We live in such a small town that our choices are very limited.
