I read that she had a history of fraud before. What was that all about. I guess she can face up to six months in jail. I was laughing watching the news footage of all those people in sub freezing temperatures outside that store combing through the bushes, dumpsters, etc for that "lost ticket".

DO IT!!!!!!!
I saw that on the news up here in MI . . . . I thought it was hilarious . . . for those that missed it, try and find the two news clips she has. The first is where she insists she had the winner and the second is where she lied . . . the two are REALLY funny when you watch them right after another.

I missed that one . . . but I can only imagine . . . .
Did they get a hold of her?

Yeah, they reached her at home. She said she was really wanted to get to tell them but, ya know... she was tired and still in bed. Would they mind calling around 10 to noon, when she gets out of bed!
It must be nice to sleep in every day. That was when she was still stating she was a "poor victim of fate".

Never have bought a lottery ticket, never will.
If you had any decent chance of winning the lottery it wouldn't be around. The state generates multiple millions yearly with that system. People think they're going to strike it rich. I watched some lady buy so many one day the spool doubled over on the floor it was so long. People are easily fooled I guess.
I buy em once in a while. I like the instant tickets, better chances. Plus the revenues are supposed to go to public education . . . . supposed to being the operative here.
I won a couple hundred once . . . that was kinda nice!

Glad you won a few bucks!
Going towards public education
I like how she said she also did it to "help out" the police officers who were laid off.

each lottery does have information as to the percentage paid to public education. It's usually less than half - but still, better from some sucker with a dream then out of my paycheck.

It may "technically" goto supporting public education. However since they just subtract that from the allocated funds from the general budget towards education. It in effect, does nothing but give them a larger gerneral budget. Thats not including their "administrative" fees which are as currupt as the 529 "saving" plans.

The government employees have to find some way to fund their absolutely LUDACRIS pension plan compared to the rest of society.

According to Ohio Lottery website, the odds of winning the MegaMillion game is 1 in 135,145,920
If I buy 10 tickets for $10 bucks my chances don't really improve that much.
Same for all of us.
I'm sure if you ask the winners - that they would say it's great.
Someone always wins - so I throw down my $1.00 a week and buy 1 ticket.
If the prize value rises really high - I splurge and toss in $2.00 a week.
