  1. Reef Light

    Kelvin = Color temperature is a characteristic of visible light. The color temperature of a light source is the temperature of an ideal black-body radiator that radiates light of comparable hue to that light source. The temperature is conventionally stated in units of absolute temperature, kelvin (K).
    Higher color temperatures (5,000 K or more) are called cool colors (blueish white); lower color temperatures (2,700–3,000 K) are called warm colors (yellowish white through red).

  4. Frag Swap Winnings and Purchases

    Well, yesterday was the spring fragswap for our local club. I did pretty well this time around (last fall I didn't win anything in the raffles and could only afford to take $40). This year I saved up $90 and used $20 of it to buy raffle tickets (got 5 free), so I had 25 tickets and put 20 of them in the live fish raffle. I let my boyfriend spread the other five out as he saw fit. Well, in the live fish raffle I won 4 fish. I didn't get a good picture of the Flasher wrasse so I didn't put one on ...

  5. My Friend

    Her color was bright at the sunlit park;
    We played fetch near the shadow of an oak.
    Her joy in the form of a frivolous bark,
    Like a laugh as if I told her a joke.
    This memory I bear is deep in my ------,
    And I shall never forget my love for her.
    I said goodbye and laid her down to rest
    As I brushed her cheek and stroked her fur.
    My hands were licked, her way to say goodbye,
    And I muttered a few words of sorrow.
    I felt she was ...
