As a juvenile, this fish has a deep blue to purple with yellow to gold stripe on the back and a slightly wider yellow gold mid- lateral stripe.The adult coloration is a blue back which gradually changes to a whitish lower body with a thin yellowish stripe on the back and a wider mid lateral yellowish stripe. The double whiptail is slender with a pointed nose and long filaments on the tail.This fish will grow to 12 inches in length. Provide plenty of swimming space and maintain good water quality. In nature they will form small groups or live singly. They can be found on silty coastal reefs.Feed enriched mysid and brine shrimp, enriched chopped fish and shrimp.
