This is just me others may have other targets. I like calcium to be 420 to 450 dKH, alkalinity between 9 and 9.5 and magnesium to be 1350.
Mag is what I always find out of whack in a new tank. Once I get it at the correct level it doesn't change much and I don't have to supplement much. It is also important to have salinity at 35 (1.024-1.026 SG). All these levels are influenced by each other so it is important that they are all near ideal or they won't be stable.

You have been great help thank you so much i cant wait to get my orders and see where everything is at i have one stone coral that has not been coming out the past few days but all the others seem fine
