I am a new poster, long time lurker
. I am hoping someone can help me. I have had my saltwater tank for 5 years now, with the same 2 triggers never had any health issues with them. I've had a few green hair algae breakouts that I had to take all the rocks out and scrub them but other than that I havnt had many algae outbreaks. The purple/reddish algae has been growing slowly for a long time but just recently it has started to grow alot faster since I have been doing more frequent water changes. Is this coralline or red turf algae? Forever I thought it was coralline but now I am not so sure. If it is red turf algae is it dangerous to my tank? If someone could please help me identify this stuff I would be very grateful. Thank you for your time. Pic is attached.
