Hi!
New to this! Not sure if anyone can help me (or if it's too late), but I have a very sick sea urchin (pink pincushion) and am not sure how to help him/her. Many of the spines are laying flat against the body and he/she has also lost several over the last week and a half or so. Very inactive (though there is still movement of the spines) and the tube feet don't come out like as much as they used to (almost not at all). The guy at the aquarium store said he/she might be hungry (I had proposed this as a possibility as I recently purchased a number of snails who do a super job of cleaning algae, which of course, is the urchin's main food supply), however when I put him/her in a separate bowl w/ some nori seaweed (which the guy at the aquarium store suggested), the urchin wasn't interested. Have never had a problem w/ water quality, and everyone else in the tank seems just fine.
Any ideas/suggestions would be so appreciated - I want to help my little friend!
