Floor Support

i have a 125 gallon tank that i wantt set up....I need to add supportsto the floor i am wondering if i can use 4x4x8's as the posts for support....i would use at least 4 and space them evenly and use 1x6's for each ceiling beam on each side and a 4x4 as the base like a "T" with the other 4x4 post going to the floor.....It will be a saltwater tank with about 140 pounds of sand and about 150 or pounds of live rock

Should work.

I didn’t need to add support for mine. The floor joists ran perpendicular to the tank and it wa next to a load bearing wall.

I'd personally use the 4x4 as upright supports and use 2x6 or 2x8 cross beams, doubled up for supports.

Depending on if you are putting it under an above ground house or in a basement, I might also secure the 4x4 to a concrete block or pour a small foundation for it first.
