    Yes cultivating macro algaes are the way to go and not to difficult to do I Have all the dry rock on hand submerged in SW soaking now...

    FWIW my old 55g had 60-160ppm nitrates (api test lit LOL) and problems until I crammed in egg crate about 3" in front of the back glass...
