automatic fish feeder issue

So I bought an eheim feeder and am setting it up. I have a plastic piece on back of tank which I cut a hole in for heat control plug that only fits cord but I'm not sure how I should/could set up eheim feeder since I have fish that jump if there are openings. The feeder part has about a 3/4 inch space in the feeder part so it cant lie directly against the plastic (where I could make a hole). Anyone else use these with jumping fish?

Do you have a lid or is this an open top set up?
I just bought a piece of acrylic 1/8" thick and cut all my necessary holes that I need for plumbing. But like I mentioned above,I don't really know what type of top you have.

I have fish that jump as indicated in my original post therefore it is not an open top set up. It has a lid.

Well I'm just trying to help. Common sense would say make a new lid. Good luck
