Algae Turf Scrubber in progress

Took about 4 weeks or so before I started getting the GHA to grow on my scrubber.

Mostly the brownish/reddish stuff at first and then transitioned to GHA.

Thanks good to know...u think the 3 hours on and off seems logical?

Seems logical enough. I tried it with chaeto and didn't notice any major difference either way.

Cool thanks for the info...just ordered a second light like my first light so that should be coming soon so I can put a bulb in that other lamp that is shown in the pics

got my second light today so I now have both sides of the screen with a light on them...still only getting the brown algae that appears on your tank glass as of now...im thinking a couple more weeks until maybe some green hair starts...I know have them on for 3.5 hours and off for 2.5 hours and so on...making it 14 hours total per day that they are on...that gives them 2 more hours then my tank lights
