bannana eel not eating

i have had my eel for one week now and it will not eat. i'm starting to get worried. i am trying to feed it frozen fish with a pair of tongs. he doesn't seem interested. Any ideas would be very welcome

I have kept eels in the past one week is not much of a worry,also you might try and find a plastic thingy where it has an end that has a tip and put the item on this tip....he may be intimidated by the tongs.....these "thingys"can be purchased from a quality saltwater pet store....the other end of the thingy usually has a small rubber like tip....also get a thin one as to not intimidate the eel......and make sure it has a hiding spot......remember they are hunters that hunt when the oppurtunity arises.....like something swimming near there caves(hiding spots)good luck
