Captive bred flames

I saw one on divers den yesterday. It was kind of ugly. Red but not as vibrant as mine. The stripes were pale and no blue on the edges of the fins.

Imforbis- that is where i saw it. I agree on the colors. It did sell tho. I just couldn't believe seeing a captive bred one. Its no secret captive fish have a better survival rate, i prefer to buy them myself.

IMHO the only captive bred angel that is an improvement is the Biota Captive Bred Coral Beauty. Colors are amazing on those and although spendy at $70, is not the rip off $200 for the captive bred flame that doesn't look anywhere near as attractive as it's wild caught counterpart.

The captive flames do color up from what i have read. A vast majority of wild fish get there colors from their food

Agreed, i think there so new there isn't much out there on them. They do seem to sell when avb tho
