Emperor Angel white clumps

Hi there - this is my first time posting but I have learned tons from existing posts.

We recently purchased a juvenile emperor angel fish. From the day we got him, he had some white dots on his tail fin. We treated him with Erythromycin for 10 days — no change. His appetite is good. We plan to try doxycycline hyclate next. I think the problem is bacterial but we can’t seem to shake it. Any ideas?

Looks like lymphocystis is. It is viral and shoul clear up on its own with good food and clean water.

I’d do some more researchbefore you make that decision. I’ve never had it spread to other fish but it can. I’d make sure you have at least 30 days in QT. Before transferring him.
