Frogspawn issue...

I've got a bit of a "problem" with my frogspawn....
The "problem:" It's grown too big and too fast
When I bought it 6-7 months ago, it had two branches, with a head on each branch. Now, I still have the two branches, but have SIX heads. It's gotten so big that it's about to reach my candycane.
Will the frogspawn sting the candycane?
I've epoxy'd both the candycane and the frogspawn to LR when I got them. If possible, how the heck to I move them?
Thanks!

It can sting anything that is by it if it reach's out to it.......If you are worried about it, you can cut some branch's off and trade/sell them to your lfs or a friend
OR you can just work the epoxy loose at the base to move one or the other......just watch and if you see any ill effects to the candy cane, you can decide then

If they are epoxied to different rocks, just move them. It is best to place the frogspawn in an area where the flow of the tank blows the tentacles away from other coral is possible. Frogspawn can be fragged also.

Will the frogspawn grow from the remaining stalk that was cut? Or will that just remain an empty piece of coral?

It is best to cut it so the remaining piece will still look good as it will take a long time before growth can cover up the scar.

It is possible but not probable. You are going to frag a Euphyllia coral in the skeleton part below where the tissue ends so you don't damage the tissue. So with with the possibility that there will be no remaining tissue it is unlikely to grow out again. That said if is a branching type there may be other polyps growing from below the cut, but the polyp you cut off will be gone. Hope that makes sense.

Take a close look below the polyp you are cutting for tiny growths on the skeleton. These buds come & go often on a healthy Euphyllia but if you cut the skeleton above this growth and it is exposed to light it will grow into a new polyp. When they are not exposed to intense light the buds will "jump ship" and if you watch for them you can start a new colony with one of these buds.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the advice and pix! I'll look for those buds.
Just to make sure I understand,...those buds will eventually turn into budding stalks?
Thanks again!
