Wow, that is a big one. I can't blame you for wanting to zap it... one almost always turns into more.
not always, I have a huge one in my nano tank and it hasn't spread, just gets bigger. but it is personal choice if you really don't like them. that one looks nice though so if it dont spread let it be or not.

Personally, I don't care for the way they look and I've never had one that didn't try to multiply like rabbits, so I zap them as soon as I see them now. But you're right, it is a personal choice... to each their own.

It's not a question of if, it's when it will start to spread. Its your choice if you want to keep aiptasia in your tank but there will be a day where you will regret your choice. I made a similar decision when I first started my tank, it was the only living thing I had other than some black mollies in my tank and I thought as long as it doesn't spread I will let it be. It eventually turned into four aiptasia over the course of a year or so but I still let them be. The next turn of events came when I purchased 50lbs of LR and reaquascaped my tank within a couple of weeks the four turned into 30 so I started trying to find something to treat them with used boiling water and lemon juice both were ineffective. Then a couple of months later I moved and had to tear down the tank set it back up at the new house the 30 that I moved with the tank turned into several hundred in a few weeks and into several thousand within a couple of months. I have pictures if you would like to see what one aiptasia can do in a few months time if left unchecked. It took 9 bottles of Joes Juice, and about a quart of my DIY Joes juice and a couple of months to get the aiptasia back down to managable levels but its still a battle two years later it still takes monthly treatments to keep them from taking over the tank again which they could easily do within a couple of months.
