how to increase the salt level

Hi everyone.

i have set up a reef tank 20 gallon i have noticed i have been useing a worng hydrometer when i started a month ago the salt reading was around 1.020 than suddly did a rest today to see my saly level was 1.012 tested it several time now its showing 1.012 got my friends refractometer and test it its showing 1.012 to see i been maintaing a low salt level, i got a clown fish and a hermit crab . how do i safely increase my salt level 1.020 1.024 ?

how much premixing salt water " the salt level " should i have in a diffrent bucket so i could top of my tank to get 1.020 1.024

I would just top off your tank with salt water instead of RODI water until the level is correct. I would also order a refractometer and calibration fluid.
