Have a relatively new 90gal semi reef. Replacing old T-12's. These are my three options and interested in feedback. Had a 300 budget to get started but may blow by that pretty quick...

Thanks...

t-5 / 324W / 6 bulb / 12k daylight x 3 / actinic x 3 / moonlight x 4 / timer

( Is 6 bulb fixture too much? )

LED - # 4116 on chart / 6 colors / 240 leds / 134 watts

LED - T247 x 2

Last question... Are T-5's basically all the same? I mean 4 bulbs at 54w output are all the same regardless of the frame they are in correct? Difference in units are how well they are made... plastic connectors vs ceramic... timer or not...

Looking at all options of corals in the future. LPS, SPS, softies etc...

Thanks!!!

There are differences in cheap vs good bulbs. The housing is less of an issue. Quality of reflectors can make a difference.
ATI or Geissman bulbs.

6 bulbs is not too much may need more depending on the inverts you want to keep.
