Why don't you have a plant section on the home page in the search square??
there is fish type, coral type, invertebrate type, and of course requirements.....no plants....

Yes, I agree with the point that you are making which is there should be a plant section on there.
But on a competely side note, plant, or macro algae? Huge difference and I hate it when people don't notice such.

As for the reference on the storefront per the OP, I think SWF should stick with 'Plants' even though very few, if any, of the items for sale will actually be vascular plants. I'd be willing to bet most customers don't know, or don't care to know the difference between plants and algae.
