Purple Algae

I noticed some dark purple algae on one of my rocks which I initially thought was coraline...looks exactly like it, but it grew too quickly...it is gelatanous and starting to cover some of my clove polyps...can anybody tell me what it is and what eats it?
I was able to pull some of it off by hand
thanks

I just typed this out in another thread so I will spare my fingers.
It comes in several colors but it is called Cyano Bacteria -or- Red Algae
Use the search button on the top toolbar and you will get a ton of info on how to treat/correct your situation.

It's not cyanobacteria...its a thick gelatenous algae similar to kelp...no filaments
it can be peeled off the rock in a single piece
