Forgive my ignorance, but could you answer a few quick questions for me??
1. What exactly does "caustic" mean??
2. What is a "trate farm", are you trying to tell us that your w/d is responsible for your high nitrate levels, or did I misunderstand?
3.What did you find at the local hardware store that solved your nitrate problem??
4. Why do you choose to maintain your tank at such a dangerously low S.G. (1.017 is what I read in the other post)
I am sorry for your losses $600 is a lot to lose. Well if you could help me understand these things I would appreciate it.. That's what I love about this board you learn something new everyday!!
