What is a good refractometer to get? I want one because I am so fed up with my piece of crap hydrometer that gives innaccurate readings because of air bubbles and other things.

Well well worth it!
While I've never used a pointer or floating hydrometer, I can't imagine not having my refractometer, it's just so easy and convenient, especially if you have to take multiple readings. At one point, I took readings from my main tank, QT, and two buckets of water I had brewing . . . all in about five minutes.
