Angelfish and Black Pygmy Angelfish. It has a solid black colored body that makes it stand out in the crowd of other fishes, and also contrast the brightly colored marine corals and fish species. The Midnight Angel is considered one of the most peaceful Angelfish and can co-exist with other peaceful Centropyge. It requires plenty of live rocks that help it to create multiple territories and should be kept in a tank not less than 50 gallons if keeping 1, and no less than 100 gallons if keeping 2. . The Midnight Angel makes an excellent addition to any community aquarium containing peaceful to semi- aggressive fish species. Although it might turn territorial towards their own kind and other Dwarf Angelfish, it can be housed in large aquarium supplying enough territory for each. The Midnight Angel is found nipping a variety of corals and sessile invertebrates including soft coral polyps, clam mantles, and zoanthids, but it does not bother any invertebrates like shrimps, snails and crabs if well fed; therefore is considered safe for reef tank but with caution. The diet should include marine algae, spirulina, high-quality angelfish preparations, and other meaty items such as brine or krill. Being an omnivore it is important to provide a balanced diet of algae and meaty foods in order to provide all the necessary vitamins and nutrition required. The Midnight Angel should be fed two to three times daily for its continued good health and to maintain a healthy immune system. It is necessary to provide them plenty of live rocks that encourage the growth of algae on which it can graze in between feedings. The Midnight Angel thrives well in a temperature range of 72-78° F and a pH of 8.1-8.4.
