Still looks like a feather duster to me.

What you might be seeing is a release of gametes which I believe is how they reproduce.

Apparently, there are other members of the polychaete classification that cast webs of mucus to catch their food instead of having the quintessential crown that we are accustomed to finding in the hobby.

I didn't know that before. They build tubes and are Annalids (segmented body) like feather dusters. Just without the feathers.
