What can you tell me about sun corals?

The ecess food in the DT will cause an ammonia spike if its not eaten quickly.
When I fed the coral in the 1g tank, the bottom was pretty much covered in scattered mysis shrimp, and in a cloud of phyto and marine snow lol.
Now if I do the bottle method in my DT tank, and put all that food in there, who is going to eat that much food?!?! lol Then the uneaten food will rott and cause an ammonia spike.

WELLLLLL...feeding it in a closed container will make you use LESS food.....you only put enough in that you think it will eat....

So how do you suggest me picking up those pieces of food that dont fall on the sun's mouth to put them on there with a popbottle opening that cant even fit my thumb? lol

GRRRR!!!!...I will have to look for the pic of the bottle...LOL...It has a syringe type thing at top.....

I know what you mean lol, I made one of them for the favia. But my problem would be, how am I going to suck up the mysis shrimp that falls to the sand bed which is nowhere near the syringe. I'd have to add more mysis to the popbottle to hopefully hit the tubes.
Understand now? lol

HMMM...I can say the same thing
This is why I will not get a sun coral...I do not have the time to spend feeding each polyp.....
