Several good brands IMHO.....BRS is 1, spectrapure is another. Not sure if your going to find under $200 though....I wouldn't buy a 100gpd unit personally. Really no need ANSI usually the rejection rate is lower vs a 75gpd unit. Key is look at the rejection rate vs looking at possible output...
Hey Al....hoping al is well? The tank is up mad running slowly stocking with corals. Slowly getting my hands on AI lighting. Corals are doing good, good growth under the cheap oldest but not crazy on control of the fixture and coral color.
I see alot of people swapping away fro the dc pump these days....I think the whole "bandwagon" idea was easy to tune by dialing the pump up or down but as stated novelty.....
Somewhat agree.....Keeping a smaller tank doesn't necessarily mean it's more unstable....Small systems are done all the time with no issue, but as mentioned above the key is stabile parameters and most of the time that means staying very diligent with your water changes....
I am not in the...
That was my thought on the micro bubbles from the skimmer.....Not sure on skimmer choice, but there are bubbles put off and the smaller the return you make it harder to eliminate....You'd be totally surprised how small amounts seem to be exaggerated when fired back into the tank.
Not sure about supplementing with T5's but still an option. I was on the thought process of adding additional LEDs Around the pucks for added control or more fine tuning but T5's might be a better option.
I think that is1 of my hangups on the pucks.....the mixing of color. I'd honestly like each color/channel totally separate and controllable. On my cheapo fixture I have to admit that I could do without the red, and without lenses I do see a separation of green and red, but again just testing...
