    searching for a p. skimmer

As far as pumps sixe you want a pump that will be appropriate for the tank the skimmer will be running on. In many cases a single pump is selected for each model skimmer, regardless of the tank size. The actual bio load also can be factor when it comes to pump size. For example I ran my old...

    Lighting

There are numerous lighting set ups that could be used on a 55 gal. It all depends on what types of corals, if any, you would like to keep in the tank...

    searching for a p. skimmer

The berlin classic is an excellent skimmer, used one for a couple of years. Im now running downdrafts on my tanks, ETSS Super Reef Devils, also excellent skimmers. Keep in mind that the size pump used will be a big factor when it comes to how good a skimmer is. HTH

    Zooanthid morph?

Hard to say for sure, youll have to wait and see ;) That new polyp may continue to produce polyps of the same morph, or polyps of the original morph. Alot of determining factors, like lighting, and water conditions, and some of which are unknown, at least to me ;) HTH

So what corals can I have with 220w in a 75

Are your lights VHO? If you have two 110 watt VHO tubes, zoos, and rics should do fine, as will an array of soft and LPS corals, just do your research before you buy anything and make sure they are suited for lower light. As you probably know adding a couple more tubes would yield better...

    what to monitor?

I test Ca, alk, SG, and temp on a regular basis. Every now and then Ill test for nitrates and phosphates. I keep other test kits on hand just in case. Dad, Ive been adding iodine to my tanks twice a week for years, and wanted to test for it, but after doing a bit of research and trying the...

    Lights-How long on?

Algae blooms are not only the result of lighting, but also nutrients, if you have problems with blooms most likely you have an overabundance of nutrients that needs to be dealt with. HTH
