    Chromis Long Term?

I've never had any luck keeping a "school" of them. I put 6 in my 90 and 5 in my 56. The 90 is down to 3 I think, and the 56 is down to 2. Been about 9 months I guess, since I last stocked them. I'm always having to put "new" ones in to keep them schooling. Seems when they get down to 2 or...

We don't have anyone lined up to feed our fish.. Well, I trust mechanical devices and my electricity staying on enough I guess. We're getting the feeders. There is no question there. Just trying to get some advice on anyone with past experience.

Fish feeders.?.?. going on vacation for a week.

Wife and I are going on a weeks vacation in July. We have 2 tanks. A 75 and 90. Both are FOWLR. We don't have anyone lined up to feed our fish, so we have been looking at some feeders that use freeze dried food...etc. We're wondering if anyone has any experience with these and can make any...

Bottom tank frame broken... NEED HELP!!

Well, I have the tank sitting up on the stand and it is perfectly flat. No rocking. Unless I hear something (From the 177 viewing this forum???) pretty soon, I am going to start putting some water in it. Me and the wife both feel ok about it. But we'd feel much better with some advice. If I...

Algea too great - Putting my tank in the black.

OK, how bout if I remove all the fish and put them in another tank? And then keep this one running with everything else in it with no lights for a while. Will this kill the algea off? I have 2 other tanks, one of which (55 gal) isn't going to have any fish in it come saturday when I move it to...

Algea too great - Putting my tank in the black.

Maybe you should read my post a little closer. I moved my tank up a flight of stairs, so everything was removed. ;) OK then, how bout changing the lighting to 4 hours per day? In the evening when I feed them? I will note, I did wash the sand a little in the old water before removing it, but...

Algea too great - Putting my tank in the black.

OK, I just moved my tank upstairs out of the "day light" living room into my almost pitch black Den. 100% water change (100% RODI). Brand New light (110watt T5's). Completely cleaned all the hardware. ...and after 10 days, tank looks like this. I had the most awful green hair/slime algea...

Question about T-5s and Fluorescent lighting.

I will say this much. I had 260 watts of Coralife Compact Flourescents on a 48" tank (Came with a used tank I bought). I replaced them with a 110 watt (2x55) T5 fixture. It looks as bright or brighter with the T5's than the CF's. And the color is far better with the T5's. T5's ARE the way to go.
