yesterday our cynarina was shrunk up. This was a few days after our normal water change. We added some carbon, and by the night time it was starting to look better. This morning some things are looking bleached. Cap, and chalice. our pin leather has not opened up and xenia is looking small...

I'm going to follow this thread until you're finished, and get it tested. For that price I don't think I could pass up having an led fixture. Spending $1500 on two ecotec fixtures is just out of the question for the moment, but i've been dying to have led's for a while now.

Considering mixing up our fish stock and looked at some wrasses. Currently we've got a six line and when I looked up adding a fairy wrasse the internet was in an uproar. I understand mixing same species gets hairy when it comes to certain fish, and every fish has it's own quirks and personality...

I miss this thread/forum. Posted a few days ago about our goby being a predator and decided now is as good a time as any to update this. I'll get a new fts soon, I was chasing clowns earlier so things aren't too happy. Let's see, what's changed.... The yellow-i-have-to-have-this-leather died...

It's is a pink spotted shrimp goby, which I'm very fond of and so sad to see it sitting in a bag until I can catch these clowns. I had to break because it's 90 degrees in this house and I needed to research trapping techniques before I smash something expensive with my net.

After considering it for a while, and watching the goby pick up and carry away a live snail, we're just gonna take it in to the store to trade in. The naughty clowns are going back too. Gonna go for some nice firefish, probably a helfrichi since we're going from six fish down to four.. Sucks...

Oliver was a rescue.. apparently they found him walking around the hood and now hes ours =) That's awesome how fate worked out and you got that dog, love then the world works in mysterious ways. If we had the space for it I wouldn't mind a great dane but that is A LOT of dog lol.

I had a similar problem with a blasto.. It was doing awesome until we moved it across the tank and it was getting too much light. Moved it back into a lower light spot and it seems to be doing ok again. How's it looking today?
