If it's at night, you can turn off any lights in your room and just leave the aquarium light on. They won't be able to see you unless you walk up to the aquarium.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm only keeping soft corals in my tank, so I'm assuming that I should use it. Anyone know anything about it causing HLLE in tangs?

Who uses carbon in their reef tanks? I've heard that it can cause HLLE in tangs. I've been told by some people to use it and not to by others. Anyone have any experience about this?

powder blue tangs are one of my favorites. They get diseases pretty easily though.

Every once in a while you'll find a yellow tang that's white. It's a color morph or something. I've only seen two or three before

sometimes CBS will kill other shrimp. Sometimes not. its a risk, but i had one that ate 2 of my cleaner shrimp

Dont know if you want to, but you might want to try a flame angel? They're supposed to be pretty hardy.
