I get it from the LFS. So, what should i do to get it back down? or is it high enough to worry about? should i just let it come down on its own?

I changed my water a couple days ago, and apparantly, it raised my calcium level. It is testing at 580ppm right now, this is a reef tank. What might this do to my tank? Should I do another water change with water that has a lower calcium level?

So, what if I were to get a tank only 16" deep, and I still wanted acro's. Would MH put off too much light? would i be better off with T5's?

just an FYI, not all costco's stock the same stuff. You would think that being as big a chain as they are, that they probably would, but in my neighborhood, they don't all have the same things even.

lol doc, i was wondering how long it would take for someone to jump on that comment. What is your opinion on T5's versus MH for acro's or in general?

and you have a single 250w MH? do you have any actinics? and is it a "standard" tank? (about 6 ft long)

I am planning on stocking the tank with mostly acro's, would 400-500 still be enough to keep them growing, and keeping their bright colors?

oh, and also, back to my original question... Which I know is hard to answer, but under good conditions, can anyone give me a rough estimate of how many new branches I will see on an acro in 6 months? I know they have different growth rates, Im just looking for an idea, because I have never had...

I have heard that from some, and I have also heard that T5's are replacing the MH's, because they burn cooler, and give similar brightness. Hmmm this can be awfully frustrating lol. Anyone else have an opinion?

I may have misunderstood, but from what I understand, you can raise the wattage, and go with 20k, and keep the nice color, while keeping a good growth rate also, is this correct?

would i get the same growth, and nice coloration as i would with metal halides?

So, what are everyone's feelings about acro's with T5's, instead of metal halides. I realize this is somewhat of a matter of opinion, but have some had good luck with this setup? Do the acro's generally keep their bright colors, or do they turn brown?
