I know it can be hard to find knowledgeable staff, especially when it's fish...but if places such as this want to have good success and leave an impression, they need to make their employees go through some sort of training, at least know basic knowledge...or a price tag! The LFS is family...

So we spent this last weekend away from home. We separated the aggressive ones in the main tank with dividers & left the nanos in their normal state. Fish didn't eat for about 3 days. We came home to find our flame angel dead in the nano, which the PH rose to 8.8 while away. All the other...

Sometimes it really depends on the lion though. We have a chromis that our volitan could easily eat if he wanted to...but he just doesn't seem to be bothered...which sucks because I want that chromis gone. lol

Apparently porcupine puffers can be evil little things. People on here have warned me, that eventually my porcupine will kill off my dogface puffer and volitan. But, nothing's happened. I think it depends on luck.

Personally I think you'd be okay if you chose a fuzzy & put him in the 300g. Their short spiky fins don't seem to scratch others as easily. They only get up to 5", I think. While volitans can get up to 12" & their long spines tend to accidentally scratch other fish (in my case, anyway) while...

From my understanding, lionfish and clowns don't mix. We recently got a clown from someone for free and I didn't want to chance it, since the volitan was double his size. If we only had the fuzzy, I probably would have taken the chance since they were about the same size

My volitian chills on his rock all day & comes up between 6-9pm for his food, while fuzzy swims around most of the day/night no matter what. Looks like everyone's fishies are different!

It is definitely hard to compare the test tubes to colors on paper! It stresses us out sometimes. The Instant Ocean kits look very nice..according to one site, each kit has 20 tests of each thing...is that the only quantity option available? We have 3 tanks, I think we'd go through that quick...
