eww. ur tank is gross man its filled with algae and looks really un natural. is it a reef tank or an algae tank?

eww you poured amonia in? so un natural! flop in some dead shrimp man! let nature take its course!!

i use a power head 802 pump on the end of a peice of hose. place it in the tank and pump it into a bucket, dump 5 gals down the sink. stick the hose in the new water and put the pump on reverse. its so easy and fast and since i get filtered ocean water from the scripps pier, i dont have to mix!

hey guys. Ive seen some reef tanks that are just filled with mushrooms and it looks pretty nice. They say they just placed a few in there and the others grew. Whats the best way to do this ? What other things can you grow ? Thanks

hey guys. I have a 29 gal tank. Its currently cycling with 2 damsels, LR, and ls. I want a reef tank, with about 3-5 fish What is a good start? What kind of inverts ? Cleanup crews? What should be the first critter i add after cycling is complete, and the damsels brought back to my lfs? i'm new...

anyone selling used dual bulb actinic light kits by realux or anything of that nature? the fixture for my 29 gal has dual bulbs for the white, and blue lamps. thanks

curious to find out which one has worked better. Still cycling, but going to need the actinic bulbs for my reef. The custom sea life is cheaper, but is it as good as the realux? my LFS uses realux on all their thriving tanks... what have you guys done? thanks!!

I'm curious to find out what is the best lighting for the money on a reef tank with the actinic blue lights? I have found the REALUX kit for 109.99 .. Is there anything as good for less? The local store, aquatic warehouse, uses these lights on all of their reef tanks, and they are doing pretty...

my tank has no heater, My room is a scortcher though. It get pretty hot. In the 80's sometime. Lights have been on alot...maybe thats it they are the lights of the eclipse system two. the 29 gal. just the light fixture.
