We have used fishing line, but not a rubber band. We tie the fishing line around a rock and stuff (gently) the frag under it. Hope this helps.

We have used fishing line and wrapped it around a rock and tucked the coral in. You can remove the line after it places its foot.

We have a 55 gallon tank with a watchman goby. We didn't see him for the first two weeks. After that then we saw him every day. I hope you have the same luck.

We use the Salifert. We always get the same readings at the LFS.

We use a 5 gallon eclispse tank for a qt. It is a lot easier to take care of it.

Be sure you test you water with a TDS meter before you purchase an R/O system. We purchased an r/o and it blows through filters and even the membrane after a few hours. Our TDS before the r/O is off the charts (890). Now we are stuck with a system that we can not even use.

The advice that I wish I would have liked to have followed was to buy what you will need not what is the cheapest. We purchased 2 different tanks, 3 different lights and 2 different protein skimmers before we got what we actually needed.

We had the same problem. We purchased 3 sand sifting conchs. We also purchase these packs that went into our sump called Algone. It worked really well, also.

We do 20% water changes every 2 weeks. We have never had a problem with the water quality.

we also use vinegar. It works well and is safe.

We run our skimmer through filter floss and it removes almost all of the microbubbles.

Our hermit crabs love to steal the shells from our snails. We sit and watch them do it all of the time.

We had an outbreak too. We purchased 3 peppermint shrimp and a copperband butterfly and within about 2 weeks they were all gone.
